About us

300+ million people rely on desalination of seawater for their water supply, a number that is expected to triple by 2050 due to climate change, droughts, increasing populations, and urbanization. At Ocean Oasis, we aim to deliver desalinated water reliably, at a lower cost, with zero emissions and minimal local environmental impact to water utilities in water-scarce regions. Our solution is floating, offshore desalination using wave energy to mechanically run a reverse osmosis process onboard to deliver desalinated water to shore.

Ocean Oasis was founded in 2020 and we are currently a team of 13 in Norway and Spain. We are proud to be listed by Cleantech Group as “Top 50 to Watch in Cleantech” in 2023 and of our backing from Grieg Maritime Group, Antler, Unconventional Ventures and the European Commission.
