We believe water abundance is possible

At Ocean Oasis, we get frustrated at seeing increased headlines on water scarcity and droughts. Split between Norway and the Canary Islands in Spain, we see the ocean through the lens of abundance. It holds one of the answers to solving water challenges. What if we could reimagine desalination to unlock abundant, chemical-free, cheap and renewably powered water production? This purpose powers our team forwards everyday to build, refine and eventually scale our sustainable desalination innovation.

About the Ocean Oasis team

The Ocean Oasis team is passionate about delivering sustainable desalination. Combining Norwegian oil & gas experience from the past with a vision towards water abundance in the future, we are building out our beachhead market with a desalination project in the Canary Islands. From inventors to business and finance leaders, from environmental engineers to hydrodynamics specialists and mechanics, we believe it requires multiple people and skillsets to build and scale an innovation.

Our team is uniting the best hearts and minds to rethink desalination.

Motivated by the importance of access to clean and abundant fresh water and the knowledge that conventional seawater desalination has a large local and global environmental footprint, the Ocean Oasis team is passionate about delivering affordable and sustainable desalination.

Combining Norwegian oil & gas experience from the past with a vision of water abundance in the future, we are targeting our beachhead market. First with a full-scale pilot tested in Gran Canaria in 2023 and 2024, now with our first commercial pilot, which will deliver water to an existing desalination plant, then from 2027 with commercial fleets of buoys throughout the Canary Islands.

From inventors to business and finance leaders, environmental engineers to hydrodynamics specialists and mechanics, we believe it requires multiple people and skillsets to build and scale an innovation.
