Las Palmas, 24-25 SEP, 2026.

🌊 DesaLIFE attended the 1st European Ocean Pact Congress in the Canary Islands, a forum dedicated to discussing the future of the oceans, the blue economy, and the challenges and opportunities facing island territories such as the Canary Islands. The event highlighted the importance of dialogue, cooperation, integrated approaches, and a shared long-term vision to ensure the protection of the oceans and the sustainable use of their resources.

The congress also provided an excellent opportunity for the organisations participating in DesaLIFE to come together and exchange views. Representatives of the consortium met during the event, reinforcing collaboration and alignment around the project’s common objectives.

DesaLIFE is a strategic initiative for the Canary Islands and a pioneer in the development of innovative sustainable desalination solutions powered by wave energy. The meeting further strengthened the consortium’s shared commitment to advancing marine innovation and promoting the sustainability of the marine environment. 🌊♻️
